Vanessa Rios joined IWHC in April 2017 as a Program Officer for the Learning, Monitoring, and Evaluation team. She is passionate about social justice and using data and research to inform and improve programs that serve young people and vulnerable populations. She supports IWHC’s evidence-based advocacy and programming by strengthening internal LME systems, providing technical assistance to partners, and designing and managing documentation and assessment projects in partnership with local NGOs and partners.
Prior to joining IWHC, Vanessa worked on the evaluation teams at International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region and the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Cornell University and a Master in Public Heath degree from Emory University in Global Health. She speaks Spanish and some French and Portuguese.
