Maya Lorey joined IWHC in September 2018 as a Tom Ford Philanthropy Fellow in the Office of the President. She is currently serving as Program Assistant in the Office of the President. In this role, she conducts research and writing for the President, assists the Programs team in grantmaking, advocacy, and convenings, and provides administrative support to the Office of the President.
Prior to joining IWHC, Maya interned on the portfolio and investments team at the Skoll Foundation, which supports social enterprises worldwide. She also worked as a research assistant at TeachAids, a social venture that creates technology to solve problems in health education. At Stanford, Maya was a peer advisor and a teaching assistant, and served as the undergraduate representative on the Board of Trustees Development Committee and on the student advisory board of the Stanford Center for Human Rights and International Justice.
Maya holds a BA with Distinction in Human Biology and a minor in Human Rights from Stanford University.
