Prior to IWHC, Katherine served as a health educator and community outreach coordinator at the Falls Church Healthcare Center, one of the only abortion providers in Northern Virginia. In her work, she’s advocated for patients, members of the Latinx community, and has testified in front of the Virginia Board of Health about Targeted Regulations of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws.
Katherine provides strategic and administrative support for IWHC’s US foreign policy portfolio by working with a number of technical and advocacy coalitions, and helps to define IWHC’s engagement with community advocates in Washington, DC.
Katherine holds a BA in international studies with a concentration in social justice from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is bilingual in Spanish and English.
