FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 26, 2017

The International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC), a feminist organization that advances the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and young people globally, is an official partner of the March for Black Women. The March will be held in Washington, DC, on September 30, and will be echoed in 17 town hall meetings and sister marches throughout the United States.

Many of IWHC’s grantee and advocacy partners around the world are confronted with entrenched racism, sexism and violence that perpetuate systemic injustice. Communities in the US are not exempt. IWHC recognizes that struggles for equality around the globe are intertwined and justice cannot be achieved in isolation.

Joined in our common cause to tackle the structural causes of economic, gender, racial, and social inequalities, IWHC supports the March for Black Women and its call for dignity, justice and respect.
