Kathy Regan is the executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Commonwealth Fund where she has served on the executive team since 2014. Regan has been advising and investing in health care companies for the past 25 years. She became a venture partner at Radius Ventures in 2010. She served as a senior advisor to the U.S. Department of State Global Health Initiative and led the development of a $200 million public‒private partnership, Saving Mothers, Giving Life, to address maternal mortality in sub-Saharan Africa in 2012. From 2003 to 2010, Regan was a senior consultant to Warburg Pincus LLC, where she was involved in investing with the health care team and served as a board member to several portfolio companies. Earlier in her career, Regan was a managing director in investment banking focused on working with health care companies in raising capital and advising on mergers and acquisitions. Regan has served on numerous private and public boards of health care companies and currently serves on the board of the Boston Children’s Hospital and Power of Two.
She received a BA from Princeton University and MPH from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
