Alexander Farman-Farmaian is currently Partner, Vice Chairman and Portfolio Manager at Edgewood Management. He joined Edgewood Management in January 2006.
Prior to that he was at W.P. Stewart & Co. for 19 years. There he was a senior member of the U.S. and Global equity research and portfolio management teams. He was responsible for managing about 20 percent of the firm’s overall assets. He chaired the Investment Oversight Committee and managed the bulk of the firm’s Global account assets since their inception.
Farman-Farmaian received a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University in 1987 and was President of the Princeton Club of New York until November 2006. He currently belongs to the Economic Club of New York and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Alex also serves on the NY Board of CollegeSpring, a non-profit which educates low income high-school children in SAT college entry testing.
