MEET OUR STAFF AND CONSULTANTS

Beth Fredrick
Executive Vice President

Beth Fredrick, Executive Vice President of the International Women's Health Coalition (IWHC), has worked for over two decades to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights. Working in partnership with women's organizations, world leaders, health professionals, the media and advocates, Beth has helped to focus attention on the needs of women and girls throughout the world. Currently, she manages the Coalition's multifaceted initiative—With Women Worldwide: A Compact to End HIV/AIDS in addition to implementation of IWHC's strategic plan for FY 2008-10 and communications program.

Prior to IWHC, Ms. Fredrick worked with the Guttmacher Institute, an internationally recognized leader in sexual and reproductive health research and policy analysis, leading their communications, development and strategic planning efforts. She was a member of the Institute's delegation to the World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995 and was a fellow with Harvard University's Bell Center for Population and Development in 1997.

Beth serves on the boards of ScenariosUSA, Ibis Reproductive Health, the Women's Initiative to Stop HIV/AIDS, and EMpower, an international grantmaking organization, and is a member of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population, the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Public Health Association, the Population Association of America, and the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. She is the author or coauthor of numerous articles and publications on topics such as the sexual and reproductive health of Latinas in the United States, gender and HIV/AIDS in developing countries, and online legal resources related to reproductive rights. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin.
