Since February 2014, Melissa has served as IWHC’s Controller. In this role she manages the organization’s finances. She brings 20 years of experience creating and implementing effective financial strategies, policies, and processes in both the private and not-for-profit sectors to the position. From 1998-2008 she worked as Assistant Controller at IWHC.
Prior to returning to IWHC, Melissa worked in the for-profit sector. She worked for five years in the sports/entertainment business, then moved on to SUNY Stony Brook FSA where she served as Accounting Manager. She also has 15 years of personal and business tax preparation experience.
Melissa has a MBA in Banking and Finance from Dowling College and a BS, with a major in Accounting, from St. Joseph’s College.
