Anna joined IWHC’s advocacy and policy program in November, 2013. Prior to IWHC, Anna worked in Special Events at the American Red Cross. Before that she was a consultant with the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders, where she coordinated UN advocacy campaigns and research projects with grassroots women peace activists from around the world. Anna is currently the Director of the Latin American and Caribbean Affairs Committee of the UN Association Young Professionals of the Southern New York State Division and a member of the Start-Up Committee of the Center for Reproductive Rights Young Professionals Alliance. She has also worked as an Office Manager at Pro Mujer, a Latin American economic development organization and an ESL teacher in both New York City and Ciudad de Oaxaca, Mexico.
Anna holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the City University of New York and a B.A. in Urban Studies from Eugene Lang Liberal Arts College at The New School. While in graduate school, Anna interned at the international women’s rights organization, MADRE.
