fc2 A thinner, cheaper female condom (known as the FC2) has just been approved by the FDA for sale and distribution within the United States. The female-initiated barrier method is made by the Female Health Company. The new design is an attempt to rectify problems with the first version of the female condom (FC), which has been on the market since 1993. The original FC was made of polyurethane; users complained that it was noisy and expensive.
